Ombre brooches

Materials: recuperated copper wire, powdercoating, dyed deer tail, stainless steel
Dimensions: 17 cm x 17 cm (roughly, per brooch)

These brooches are loosely inspired by Victorian era designs. They are made from recuperated copper electric wires which have been powdercoated. The powdercoating is done in a 3 colour fade, using some custom mixed colours. The fur is dyed deer tail.

For their jewellery they focus on using non-precious and recuperated materials. They have fun with repetitive forms and the use of bright and unexpected colours. 

Emily studied jewellery design and metalsmithing at NSCAD University in Nova Scotia (her home province).
